A minimum of 25 hours of flight training including:

  • 15 hours dual
  • 5 hours solo
  • Although ground school is not required bythe Canadian Air Regulations, you still need to pass the exam and most likely need some help. Checkout our ground school options here.
  • A Transport Canada Flight and Written examination.

Dual: Flight with a flight instructor. The student will seat in the left pilot seat and the instructor will be in the right seat. The airplane has full dual controls.
Solo: Flight with the student as the only occupant. Solo flight is supervised by the flight instructor for each flight.

The student should have the following material: Harv's Air RPL Manual, From the Ground up, Flight Training Manual, Plotter, Flight Computer (E6B or CX2), Pilot Training Record (PTR), Logbook, Winnipeg VNC/VTA Charts, and Pilot Operating Handbook.

Training is at the student’s pace and convenience and can start any time.
The course will take 3 weeks if full time (7 days a week, 10 hours a day) OR 3 months if part time (2 lessons a week). The pace and scheduling is up to the student.
